Data capturing.
If you’re a business owner, you’ll know all too well that these two words describe an action that eats away at two of your business’s most valuable resources: time and money. In a previous post, we briefly discussed how automation and integration can make your life easier. If you missed it, you can read all about that here or take a look at this video for a visual overview. No matter how you look at it, business automation is the way to go and will not only cut down on wasted time and a misuse of valuable resources, but also save your business money.
So, you’ve spent hundreds of thousands on operational and financial software to ensure that your business processes are optimised and geared towards maximum productivity. But down the line, you start to realise that you are capturing the same thing into two different systems. Essentially, you’re doing double the work and wasting time and money in the process. There is an easy fix for that, right? Just appoint a developer to build a custom integration to allow these two systems to speak to each other. WRONG! This can end up costing your business upwards of a further R200 000 for the services alone. Our solution is a lot simpler and way more cost-effective. We have specifically designed .integr8 as a middleware/integration tool that is dynamic and intelligent so that your business or software consultant can steer the implementation process and setup, with the click of a few buttons. Money saved. Now those are two words we can get behind!
Let's delve a bit deeper into .integr8’s 3 core functions and what they mean for your business.
The Core
The core of .integr8 is the backbone of the solution. It relies on a windows service to perform all of its operations. All of the decision-making logic used in import/export and integration sit within the core. The core determines the best route for each scenario depending on each customer’s individual setup.
Import/Export
One of the most common scenarios that we deal with daily, is one where a company receives a huge number of files. A user must then take these files and capture each individual entry manually in order to get the data into a system.
This is where .integr8 comes in. By setting up the file type and mapping it, data input is taken care of with no human interaction. Easy as 1,2,3.
The import and export part of .integr8 includes the following types of files: csv, web API, xml, web hook, json and excel. Each type can be used to either import or export data. The way .integr8 is built, you only need to add the setup of a new import/export type and the rest is taken care of.
But that’s not all that .integr8 has to offer. This innovative tool is the ideal solution when it comes to data warehousing. If you have a cloud-based ERP (with an accessible API) that does not allow access to the database for you to do custom reporting on, .integr8 will get the data for you and store it on your local database. Using the API’s provided by the ERP, we can get the data and store it regardless of the format.
Integration
The integration process is where the magic happens. Using intelligent design, we have simplified the complexities surrounding data integration with your ERP system. .integr8 can integrate with most ERP systems, local or cloud-based, and conforms to each ERP systems’ best-practice guidelines, ensuring data integrity and that software terms are adhered to.
No longer do you need a developer to understand each ERP system’s integration points in order to achieve seamless integration. All you need is an ERP consultant.
The magic of our product is that the integration relies only on an ERP consultant / system administrator’s knowledge of the ERP’s database structure. The consultant just has to select the data to be integrated per transaction type and with a little bit of magic, the desired transaction is created in the ERP system. No code needed.
We believe in enabling our customers, as well as our business partners, to grow, learn and excel. .integr8 is the first of many projects that are geared towards empowering you. Contact us to schedule your demo.
